Coaching & Mentoring

In recent years, we have developed a service on request by parents, who having purchased and undertaken the 1-2-1 session, require more support and guidance throughout the whole of the appeals process. However, many of our clients do not necessarily want or need full representation or advocacy at their appeal hearing.

For those clients, we developed our Coaching and Mentoring service.

In summary, the below represents the services that we provide as part of the Coaching and Mentoring package:

• Provision of detailed example appeal submissions relating to your type of appeal.
• Either full drafting or written review of your detailed appeal submission and evidence to support your appeal application i.e., your statement of case.
• Working with you on securing information and material from the school / admission authority to enable you to challenge the prejudice or capacity case that will be made against you.
• Pre appeal coaching session (this is a minimum of 1.5 hours telephone call or Zoom session) which is very much a dress rehearsal of your appeal. In this session we will:

a) pose questions to you that might be asked by the Panel or Presenting Officer on the day of the hearing. (Not the most pleasant experience but exceptionally valuable for a parent!)
b) draft a written critique of the school case, advice/guidance and questions on how to challenge that on the day of the hearing.
c) ask you to run through your presentation which will be the dress rehearsal of when you provide the Appeal Panel with a summary of your case on the day of the hearing.
d) provide email and telephone support to you right through to the time of your hearing.

Depending on when your appeal is this support package can last in excess of 3 months and will involve you working very closely with us during that period.

Again, we will provide advice out of hours if that suits you during evenings and weekends.

We realise that parents have busy lives and cannot always deal with this on the 9-5, Monday to Friday basis.

We believe that we are the only company that provides such a bespoke and detailed preparation service for a parent prior to the appeal hearing.

Costs of this package will generally range between £700 and £900 inclusive of VAT etc. Drafting of your material could result in an additional fee based on the circumstances of your case. The difference in charges will depend on the type of case / complexity involved but once we are aware of your circumstances, we will provide you with a detailed and fixed price for the coaching / mentoring service. We do encourage most parents to undertake the 1-2-1 session to ensure that we have a full understanding of your case and also that we are able to risk assess your chances so that you are fully aware of the likelihood of winning before you engage us for further assistance.
